I tend to loathe resolutions and love projects. As such, New Year’s usually comes and goes without resolutions but with the advent of perhaps too many new projects.
This year will usher in the birth of our fourth child. In many ways that will be all the project I need. Especially when you consider I’m already raising three growing children, have ongoing work and ministry at Northland, a wife to love and a 90-year-old house to maintain.
But there are a few projects I am adopting this year:
1. A friend and I have a web venture built to help people (myself include) do better at accomplishing goals. We’re about ready to launch a beta. Here’s a positive trap for us: complisher.com (Yeah, it’s just a splash. But now you know about it!)
2. My Christmas present to Jenn was a candy thermometer. We’re going to start hand-crafting confections. If it goes well, we’ll have more small batch candies than we’ll be able to eat.
3. I have a book idea. It is high on concept and photography and light on actual writing. The upside is that I should be able to finish, the downside is that no one else may want to read. But it should offer a high return on fun, so I’m giving it a go.
4. Jenn gifted me 100 postcards. I plan on sending them though currently I only have three recipients in mind.
My kids do enjoy resolutions, so they made a few.

Pear’s resolution from Nathan Clark on Vimeo.
Bee’s resolution from Nathan Clark on Vimeo.
If you’re looking to accomplish better, or receive occasion postcards let me know. If the candying goes well we may have some treats to share as well. I’m expecting a lot in this year and I hope you’re looking forward to it too.
